I did it for myself

"Yes, I did it for me, myself."
What is wrong with the statement?. Why it seemed so many people afraid of using those words?. Is it because, when you say it, people will think you are such a self centered with big ego human being? And what is wrong with that? was it that bad?

How about a mother, who dedicate herself to her family, do everything her best for them, and yet still need something to feed her soul, something that makes her feel proud of herself, for her own achievement as a human being. Is it bad?
Is it bad if we want something for ourselves? (Please dont read this in the wrong direction..it's not about WIL or PIL :-) )

Family is one big achievement. Being a mother is a wonderful job for most of the women in the world. Watching the kids growing day by day, fullfilling all their need are certainly give us more contempt of ourselves.

But is it wrong when we still need something for ourself? Something more, "for me". for "myself". "My own 'label'". Not as my husband's wife, or my kid's moms. As Me.

In my book, it is Ok if you want something for yourself. But it is also fine if you don't want something more for yourself. Lucky you!. Because I believe so many people wanted something for themselves but are afraid to say so. They just hiding because they were afraid people would think they are silly.

The first rule of everything. Do not lie to yourself. You can lie to other people, but try to be true to yourself. Try to reach whatever dream you have, as long as do it the right way. And keep in mind, family first, cause I know you do not want things going bad when you catch your dream..:-).
